Dina Meyer was born in Forest Hills, Queens, New York, but moved to Dix Hills, Long Island in the last year in junior high school. Dina Meyer is the sister of two brothers. Gregory is her elder brother and Evan is her younger. In the years between nine between the ages of 16 and 19, her first exposure to the business world was when she first began modeling. She began her training in acting at The Neighborhood Playhouse in New York and studied the acting skills of Sanford Meisner together in conjunction with Ron Stetson, for about three years. Sandra Bullock received similar training as did Michael Douglas and Jeff Goldblum. Leslie Nielsen, Diane Keaton are also amongst those actors who've received the same type of instruction. When she moved into Los Angeles, she got her first part in the Beverly Hills 90210. After that, she was the lead in the movie Johnny Mnemonic, in which she was able to do all her stunts herself, and established herself as an athletic actress. Alongside Matt LeBlanc's agency for talent the agent of hers was involved in a range of roles that recurred on Friends.
